Directions
Feeding Directions: Increase or decrease the serving size according to your cat's size, age, weight and activity level to maintain optimum body weight. Use the standard chart below as a guide. Feeding directions for adult cat maintenance (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup). We recommend feeding your adult cat within the daily guidelines listed below. Weight of Cat, Pounds: 3 to 5; Inactive Cats, Cups 1/3 to 2/3; Active Cats, Cups: 1/2 to 1. Weight of Cat, Pounds: 5 to 10; Inactive Cats, Cups 2/3 to 3/4; Active Cats, Cups: 1 to 1-1/2. Weight of Cat, Pounds: 10 to 15; Inactive Cats, Cups 3/4 to 1-1/4; Active Cats, Cups: 1-1/2 to 1-3/4. Weight of Cat, Pounds: 15 to 20; Inactive Cats, Cups 1-1/4 to 1-1/2; Active Cats, Cups: 1-3/4 to 2. Adjust to maintain proper body weight and condition. Weaning: Kittens generally are ready to nibble on semi-solid foods at three to four weeks of age. After weaning at six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than one part warm liquid to three parts That's Smart! cat Food; do not serve more than what the kittens will consume in a 30-minute period to ensure freshness. Kittens will eat up to two or three times the amount shown in the above table. Growth: Keep That's Smart! cat food before kittens at all times. Pregnancy and Nursing: That's Smart! cat food provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Feeding Tip: Changes in your pet's feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing over to That's Smart! cat food, first substitute small amounts in place of your cat's current food. Then over the next week to 10 days, increase the amounts of That's Smart! cat food, while decreasing amounts of your cat's other food, until your cat has 100% That's Smart! cat food. Remember to provide plenty of fresh water in a clean container at all times. Regular veterinarian visits are recommended to ensure your cat's good health.
